Every tree we plant is a story of hope — hope for a healthier planet, for thriving wildlife, and for communities that depend on nature. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of four incredible new planting projects that expand our global impact even further!
Each new project is thoughtfully selected to make a real, measurable difference — restoring critical ecosystems, supporting local livelihoods, and fighting climate change.
Here’s a look at what’s new:
1. Restoring Amazon's Mangroves in Brazil
We are excited to finally start planting in the Amazon :). The Amazon rainforest is one of the most crucial ecosystems on Earth. It contains 40% of the world’s remaining rainforest, 25% of its terrestrial biodiversity, and more fish species than any other river system.
The Blue Amazon mangrove reforestation site is located in the State of Maranhão, Brazil along the southern border of the Amazon, a region experiencing alarming rates of deforestation due to illegal logging, land conversion for agriculture, and urban expansion.
This mangrove restoration project provides significant social and environmental benefits by improving the livelihoods of local fishermen, creating jobs in a region with limited employment opportunities, and restoring critical habitats for endangered species.

2. Pollinator Agroforestry in Haiti
Pollinator agroforestry is a sustainable land management approach that combines the cultivation of trees or woody plants with crops or livestock, while also creating habitats for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds. This system offers numerous ecological and economic benefits, including improved pollination, biodiversity, and enhanced land productivity.
Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world, facing significant environmental and economic challenges. Women and girls play a central role in Haitian society, with nearly half of households being women-led. Despite their contributions, they face ongoing inequality.
In partnership with Prosperity Catalyst, Mother Trees has launched a women-led initiative which supports 32 beekeeping groups in the West and Nippes parts of Haiti, providing new economic opportunities for women, and we are so excited to be planting with them.

3. Terrestrial Restoration in Florida
Longleaf pine forests once spanned around 90 million acres across the southern coastal plain of North America, making them one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in the U.S. However, due to factors like land conversion, and fire suppression, the extent of these forests has been drastically reduced to less than 3 million acres today.
In addition to climate change mitigation, the Florida Terrestrial Restoration project offers substantial environmental and social benefits. One of the main outcomes is habitat restoration. The reforested area supports a wide range of wildlife, including the American Wigeon, Fox Squirrel, and Florida Scrub Lizard. These species rely on the longleaf pine ecosystem for survival, and restoring their habitat is crucial for their conservation.

3. Mangrove Reforestation in India
The Sundarbans, spanning India and Bangladesh, is home to one of the largest mangrove forests in the world. These vital ecosystems store massive amounts of carbon, protect coastal communities from storms, and support diverse wildlife. However, climate change and deforestation threaten their survival. This project aims to restore the Sundarbans by planting two million mangroves by 2026, ensuring a sustainable future for both nature and people.

Planting trees isn’t just about adding greenery for us — it’s about healing ecosystems, supporting communities, and building a more sustainable future, and doing all this while creating the magical feeling that giving a gift does. With these four new projects, Greenr Gifts is expanding the ways your gifts can make a real, lasting impact.
We thank you for being part of our little Greenr community. We hope to keep giving.. Tiny gifts, Mighty roots.
