It has a spreading crown with compound leaves and bright yellow flowers that develop into flat, winged pods. The tree’s heartwood is prized for its medicinal properties, particularly in managing diabetes, and its timber is used in furniture and construction. The reddish gum exuded by the bark is also utilized in traditional remedies.
